⚙️ Tech / Usage Notes

🧪 How to Use

For Backflushing Espresso Machines

1. Remove portafilter basket and insert a blind filter.
2. Add 3g of Cafiza2 powder.
3. Start brew cycle for 10 seconds, stop, and wait 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
4. Remove portafilter, rinse group thoroughly, and repeat cycle 5 more times with clean water.
5. Soak portafilter and metal parts in Cafiza2 solution for best results.

Backflush (each group head):

1. Insert blind filter in portafilter and add up to 1/2 teaspoon (3g) of Cafiza® Powder.
2. Insert portafilter into group head and activate brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
3. Remove portafilter.
4. Activate brew cycle and rinse portafilter in a stream of water from group head.
5. Stop cycle and insert portafilter into group head.
6. Activate brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
7. Make and discard a cup of espresso to ensure no residue remains.

For Soaking Parts

1. Dissolve 6g of powder per 1L of warm water.
2. Soak portafilters, baskets and shower screens for up to 30 minutes.
3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before reuse.

TIP: Wet a cloth with the Cafiza® Powder solution and wipe down spray heads, then wipe clean with a fresh cloth. Caution: Solution may be very hot.
