MIDNIGHT FLYER

Midnight Flyer earned its name the hard way. Natural is the traditional processing method for Ugandan coffee, so the first time Agri Evolve tried washing a lot, they were already taking a risk - and then the trucks bringing the cherries in were delayed. With over-fermentation creeping closer by the hour, the drivers set off in the middle of the night, cherries loaded, racing down a rain-soaked mud road to get everything to the washing station in time.

They made it. The lot survived its own chaos and came out the other side in great shape - and it's been named after that night ever since. Years on, Midnight Flyer has only gotten better, and it's now a regular on our Uganda offer list.

It comes from Agri Evolve, working with around 2,000 smallholder farmers across the Kasese District. What started in 2016 as a single collection point built on fair, prompt payment has grown into the Nyabirongo Processing Station - one of Uganda's largest coffee facilities - alongside real environmental work: over 130,000 tree seedlings planted each year and energy-efficient stoves supplied to more than 2,400 households.
